Man, three boys arrested in connection to recent Lynchburg burglaries

LYNCHBURG (WSLS 10) - Lynchburg police arrested four people in connection to a series of recent burglaries at Country Place Apartments in the city.

On May 10, police executed search warrants at 819 Greenfield Drive Apartment 173, 800 Greenfield Drive Apartment 3 and 1308 Buchanan Street. Police recovered the vast majority of stolen items from multiple Country Place Apartments as well as items stolen during a recent burglary on Arlington Street.

Four handguns, an assault rifle, a crossbow, prescription medication, a PlayStation 4, boxes of ammunition, sneakers, clothes, an iPad and an iPhone are just some of the items police recovered.

Two 17-year-old boys and a 16-year-old boy, all of Lynchburg, are charged with five counts of grand larceny and six counts of breaking and entering. One of the 17-year-old boys was also served with nine outstanding warrants for grand larceny and breaking and entering.

Alvin Alexander Brown, 20, of Lynchburg, was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of ammunition by a convicted felon.

Brown is being held without bond in the Blue Ridge Regional Jail.
