Lynchburg police arrest 'armed and dangerous' man

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSLS 10) - Lynchburg police arrested a man who has been wanted since an April 15 shooting in the city on Sunday.

At about 4:07 p.m. on May 15, police arrested Donnell Miller, 36, after a brief car chase that ended without incident.

Miller faces charges of malicious wounding, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and use of a firearm in commission of a felony in connection to the shooting of 18-year-old Keenan Omar Johnson. Police say Miller shot Johnson multiple times on April 15 at 3241 Maryland Avenue.

Johnson was taken to Lynchburg General Hospital where he was treated for injuries.

In addition to the charges from the shooting, Miller also faces charges ofĀ driving with a revoked license and eluding the police.

Miller is being held without bond at the Blue Ridge Regional Jail in Lynchburg.
