SALEM (WSLS 10 SPORTS)-

"It's a group that knows that they got a lot of exposure and attention but they're not let it go to their heads so they're getting their work in and want to get better and try to advance and not taking anything for granted," said manager Joe Oliver.

The trio proved to be a run producing machine.

Collectively they have 70 RBI, 7 homers and 38 extra base hits for the Red Sox. Manager Joe Oliver says the three have been valuable assets to the teams early success, especially outfielder Andrew Benintendi, who was called up to double A Portland on Sunday.

"He's been kind of a silent leader of the ball club where we maybe not he's not as outspoken as some of the other players but yet he just goes out and does it and follow my example and he's a very advanced player," Oliver explained.

"I think our chemistry is coming a long way even we were in Greenville together so the chemistry with everybody is really there and getting better," said Benintendi.

Their chemistry has sparked the Red Sox to a hot start on the season as they sit atop the Carolina League South standings.

Although the Red Sox may not finish the season with the same roster that they started with they're hoping that the experience that these three men brought to the team will trickle down to the rest of the dugout.

"The so-called role players or guys that are not getting as much of the headlines they seem to be both motivated and working hard," said Oliver.

Benintendi added, "I think that everybody loves to compete and you know everybody wants to do well."
