ROANOKE (WSLS10) - Celebrating 90 years, the HomeTrust Bank donated $20,000 to the organizations of Center in the Square. Nearly half a dozen different groups received checks, one up to $10,000.
The amount was divided by the HomeTrust Bank among community support contest winners, where the public was invited to vote on Facebook to determine winners in the regions.

The Roanoke Ballet Theater was presented with the largest check.
"Our students, our company, our families, and the community in general were supporting us through Facebook," commented the theater's Director Sandra Meythaler. "It was good to know we have the support of the community and they're going to help us keep dancing."
The money will go towards helping dancers under scholarship, fund performances and pay professional dancers.
