ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - Virginia Western Community College was on lockdown twice on Monday.
At this time, it is believed the lockdown was automatically triggered by a potentially faulty emergency pull station. Campus is safe and has returned to normal operations.

The lockdown began at about 11:51 a.m. and the school sent out this tweet at 12:30 p.m.:
Virginia Western campus is all clear and lockdown is lifted. Campus police have thoroughly investigated campus.

A second lockdown alert was triggered at 12:36 p.m. and the all clear for campus was provided by campus police at 12:42 p.m.
Classes are not curently in session. The college's exams were last week and final grades for the semester were submitted this morning. Graduation is scheduled for Friday.
