DANVILLE (WSLS10) - Work is underway to upgrade Danville's skate park.
On Monday, workers began placing new ramps at the park, which is located inside Dan Daniel Memorial Park.

The $75,000 project has been on the city's parks and recreation department's to-do list for quite a while.
The new equipment is expected to last 20 years.
"We've got some basic obstacles and some advanced obstacles that way the kids can get a little better at their extreme sport if they like it. Razor scooter, skateboard, BMX, the kids will be able to use them however they want," explained Jeremy Chavez, a supervisor with American Ramp Company, which is doing the work.
The work is expected to be completed by the end of the week.
