DANVILLE (WSLS 10) - Police are investigating a shooting that happened in Danville on Thursday night.
Officers were called to the 200 block of North Main Street for a shooting just after 8 p.m. The victim, a taxi driver, told police he was at the intersection of Dean Street and Myrtle Avenue to pick up a fare, when three men came out from behind the bushes. One of the men pulled out a gun, so the victim started to drive away. The man fired at least one shot, hitting the victim.
The taxi driver was taken to the Danville Regional Medical Center where he's said to be in stable condition.
