ROANOKE (WSLS10) - Lawmakers visited the Roanoke Valley to celebrate a new $1,500,000 investment in renewable energy.
TMEIC leaders held a ribbon cutting ceremony in Salem for its new inverter test facility.
The one of kind facility puts solar technology to the test, by exposing it to all kinds of elements like extreme heat.
"We're very excited, getting the first UL certified product out there anywhere in the world is great for us. That means we have a leg up on all of our competition in the U.S. in terms of moving forward in the growth of solar business," said Dale Guidry, CEO of TMEIC.
