Amber Alert canceled for missing Spotsylvania Co. toddler

Spotsylvania, VA (WRIC) — Virginia State Police have cancelled the Amber alert for a Spotsylvania County toddler who is believed to be in extreme danger. The child was located and found safe.

Police say the child's father, 28-year-old Joshua Christopher Williams, fled with the toddler after assaulting the child's mother. He is described as 5-feet-11-inches tall and weighing 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing navy blue and gray sweatshirt shirt and blue jeans.

According to the Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office, Zion was later dropped off with his grandmother and has now since been reunited with his mother, who has been released from the hospital.

The sheriff's office said Joshua Williams has been located as well.
