Blacksburg (WSLS 10) – Virginia Tech’s Air Force ROTC looks to raise money for veterans.

Members of the Air Force Power group, which is a booster club within the ROTC, hosted a mini golf tournament in Blacksburg at Cox’s Golf Driving Range.

The event raises money for the ‘Hope for the Warriors‘ organization. It’s a non profit that helps veterans from all military branches transition into civilian life after serving.

Organizers said this their way to help those who served in the military.

“It makes me feel great that people are coming out and supporting veterans it’s really important to me and all of us who put it together and of course the veterans will be benefiting,” Randy Rechkemmer, the organizer said.

The goal for Saturday’s fundraiser is $3,000.
