Radford University unveils new planetarium

RADFORD (WSLS10) - Radford University unveils a new planetarium.

The new equipment will help students learn more about space.

The 54 seat facility has a digital projection screen and surround sound.

Instructors said the planetarium will be used to show videos about space and teach students about astronomy.

"We've been waiting for years. Finally everything is built, everything is here ready. The hard part is done. We've got people coming for the shows, this is going to be great," said Rhett Herman, Physics Professor.

The planetarium will be fully open and free to public in the fall.
