DANVILLE (WSLS 10) - Police say a man was shot in the foot overnight in Danville.
Just after 12:15 a.m. Thursday police officers responded to the Danville Regional Medical Center where a man was being treated for gunshot wounds to his left foot.

The man said that he was walking on the sidewalk on Greenwich Ave. when he met two black males walking towards him but on the other side of the street. Police say both suspects displayed handguns and shouted to the victim, "give me what you got". The victim started running on Greenwich Ave. towards N. Main St. when he was shot in the left foot by one of the suspects.
The victim was taken to the Danville Regional Medical Center by a friend in a private vehicle. The victim described the suspects as black males wearing dark clothing and both were in their late teens to early twenties. They were last seen fleeing on Greenwich Ave. towards N. Main St.
