(WSLS 10) - The Spring Career, Lifestyle and Financial Fitness Fair takes place today at the Berglund Special Events Center in Roanoke. More than 50 organizations will be there to talk about job opportunities, events happening in the community and to offer financial guidance. The fair is being held by Roanoke and Salem as well as Roanoke County.

The 65th annual Pig Robertson Fishing Rodeo continues today in Salem. Today is Special Needs Children Day. Kids taking part will be allowed to catch and keep up to six trout.

Mill Mountain Theatre kicks off the 2016 season tonight with Smokey Joe's Cafe. It's the longest running musical revue on Broadway. The show runs through May 8th. Doors open at 7 p.m. with the performance starting at 7:30 p.m.

Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County will release doves today in recognition of Organ Donation Month. A local woman will speak at the ceremony about the impact organ donation had on her life. The ceremony starts at noon at the hospital's Donor Memory Garden.

An information session takes place tonight in Forest about a new type of education offering. The new solution offers both a formal classroom setting and home schooling. Students will sit in a traditional classroom two days a week with the rest of their education done at home.

The Martinsville-Henry County Garden Tour takes place today in Bassett. The tour features homes and businesses dating back to the 1920s. The tour features the home of one of Bassett Furniture's founders, the Bassett Post Office and the Train Depot among others. Admission is $20.

An information session takes place today about the expansion of ReNew the New. The campaign started 14 years ago in Giles County in an effort to clean up the New River watershed. Now the effort is expanding into other counties in the New River Valley. The presentation includes previous clean-up events and an overview of expansion plans.
