Court documents show gruesome details into arrest of Henry Co. parents

HENRY COUNTY (WSLS 10) - We're learning new information about the Henry County parents charged after their 3-year-old son, Mason Ryan, went missing for about nine hours.

Both William Blake Ryan and Tammy Stowe, of Ridgeway, Va. were arrested for one felony count of child neglect and one misdemeanor count of possession of marijuana.

Police say when they went into the family's home on Wagon Trail Road was dirty and cluttered. Court documents state there was animal feces on the floor, trash everywhere and that the home was infested with roaches.

The refrigerator had dead roaches inside it as well as on the food. The kitchen cabinets had spider webs and roaches inside them  and the sink was full of dirty dishes and decaying food.

Officers also say even Mason's bedroom was infested with roaches.

Blake Ryan, Mason's father, also said he had chickens living in a bedroom at the house and recently built a cage from keeping them inside. That bedroom was covered in chicken feces.

Also during the search, police found a green plant and a small bag that tested positive for marijuana.
