SALEM (WSLS 10) - The Salem Family YMCA celebrated a major milestone of one of its long-time members.
The facility held a birthday bash for Margaret Robertson's on Monday, complete with lunch, cake and birthday presents.

"When members turn 100 years old, we give him a lifetime membership to the Y so she gets a courtesy membership to the YMCA of the Roanoke Valley," said Rachel Vinson, the Y's membership director.
Robertson, a former Salem school teacher, has been an active member of the Y for 7 years.
Vinson said that Robertson comes in about 3 times a week for water exercises.
