NFL stars return to Blacksburg for VT Spring Game

BLACKSBURG (WSLS 10 SPORTS) - It was a star-studded cast on the sidelines for the 2016 Virginia Tech Spring Game. It's a reunion of sorts for former players, some riding success in the NFL.

Seattle Seahawks safety Kam Chancellor, Buffalo Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor, Redskins defensive back Kyshoen Jarrett, Hall of Famer Bruce Smith, former NFL wide receiver Andre Davis and Miami Dolphins quarterback Logan Thomas were among those in attendance. For the alumni, coming back to Blacksburg is always fun.

"I definitely enjoy the experience, I enjoy the atmosphere. So only being four hours up the road, it was a given to come back and get to experience what the new coach has in store," said Jarrett.

"I think it's important that we give back as much as possible, for the recruits and for the players just to see that we love coming back and this community's done a lot for us and they've been supporting us since day one and we appreciate the love," explained Taylor.

It was Chancellor's first time back to the Spring Game in a few years, due to injuries. "It feels great to be back to Hokie Nation, seeing all the students, coaches, new coaches and the players and see the recruits coming in. This is like another home to me, so it feels great to come back," he said.
