DANVILLE (WSLS10)-- Danville firefighters responded to a large brush fire on Riverpark Drive on Wednesday.
Crews arrived to find a brush fire that was covering about four acres. A fire line was put in place to control the blaze. The VA Department of Forestry was also called in with brush trucks and a bulldozer to contain the remainder of the fire.

Firefighters were on the scene for more than two hours. The forestry service stayed in the area to keep an eye our for hot spots and secure the fire lines.
