Hokies' top two QB's expect even reps Saturday

ROANOKE (WSLS 10 SPORTS) - At Tuesday nights student practice we saw even reps across the board for all of the Hokie quarterbacks. But in Saturday's spring game we can expect Brenden Motley and Jerod Evans to take the majority of the work.

First year coach Justin Fuente said after Tuesdays practice, "The series that the kids are in particularly these two, I think will be pretty equal, as equal as we can make it."

Students had the opportunity to interact with both the players and coaches following practice. Of course the elephant in the room so to speak was addressed yet again, the new style of offense.

Senior defensive end Ken Ekanem said, "It's getting us more in shape. It's more conditioning because we don't do conditioning at the end of practice since we run so much and so often. We have a lot of triple options."

Students will be excited to see the Hokies take the field Saturday to display this new up tempo offense. The spring game starts at 2:30 pm this Saturday at Lane Stadium.
