Students attend Hokie practice leading up to Spring Game

BLACKSBURG (WSLS 10 SPORTS) - Virginia Tech students got the first taste of the new Hokie football with open practice Tuesday. The players are excited for the rest of their fans to come out Saturday for the spring game.

"I'm just ready to get in front of a crowd, I know some of the older guy's that played in front of about 60,000 others. We just excited to get in front of somebody. We've been practicing working up for this also I think it will definitely be fun," said Houshun Gaines.

"I can tell you now I know my family know they're going to be here a lot of my friends and I come up so I'm just looking forward to it." said Tremaine Edmunds.

"We're looking forward to having our fans in town former players and all things that go with those with a great, great spring game. People usually ask what you want to get out of the spring game, I want our guys to play in front of people."

It was a good turnout by the students for this practice and Coach Fuente hopes to see the same support Saturday for the spring game.
