OPEN AIR BURNING PROHIBITED

Due to the continued dry conditions, low relative humidity, and increasing wind speeds, Rockbridge County has enacted a ban on all open air burning, effective immediately, on Tuesday, April 19 at 10:00 AM. This action is being taken after consultation with the Virginia Department of Forestry, and is an effort to provide for the safety of all of our citizens and their property. The County will monitor weather conditions and will lift the burn ban when conditions improve.
