CHRISTIANSBURG (WSLS 10) - Whitebarrel Winery in Christiansburg went apprentice style to find its next full-time employee.
Nine students from Radford University, Virginia Tech and James Madison University competed with each other over two days to become Whitebarrel's public outreach manager.

The position will be responsible for things like festivals and grocery store sales.
There are currently eight full-time employees at the winery, and owners wanted to mix it up to find the next team member.
Competitors had to do things like design a festival booth as a team, look at accounting statements and even build a structure from wine corks.
The winner will be announced at an awards banquet on April 26.
