Mission BBQ presents donation to Roanoke Police and Fire Departments

ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - Two local agencies working hard to keep our community safe received a financial boost from Mission BBQ on Tuesday.

The Roanoke City Police Department and Roanoke Fire EMS received a check for $3,674.

The money, which comes selling blue cups at the restaurant's Towers location, will be split between the two agencies.

David Clark, the director of operations at Mission BBQ, said he's delighted to further the company's purpose of supporting local police and fire departments, military personnel and first responders.

"We're just proud to support those who are running in when everyone else is running out. We have a great fire department here in Roanoke we're just glad to be able to, in some small way, give back to them," explained Clark.

Those who bought a blue cup can bring it back to Mission BBQ for $1 off refills.
