WRIC Newsroom – LOUISA COUNTY (WRIC) — Crews are investigating a house fire that took place on Sunday afternoon.
The fire took place on Paynes Mill Road, around 1:30 p.m.

When crews arrived they found the house engulf in flames. Officials say the smoke could be seen for over 4 miles.
The family of four was not at home, but a number of dogs and puppies died in the fire.
The cause of the fire is still unknown.
