BLACKSBURG (WSLS-10 SPORTS) -After two seasons in Virginia Tech's basketball program, 7-footer Satchel Pierce announced on his twitter account Tuesday night that he's leaving the Hokie's program.
The Ohio native saw his minutes drop from 428 in his freshman season (which included 7 starts) to just 124 last year in 20 games played.

Pierce called the move a very hard decision to make, and thanked everyone in Hokie nation for their support. He said via twitter that he's not sure when he's going next year. He played his prep ball at the Kiski school outside of Pittsburgh.
