It's worth noting the western Pennsylvania product out of Montour High School was a bonafide two- sports star in high school. He started four years in football, finishing his football career with the WPIAL record in receptions and receiving yards. He was a member of the Pittsburgh post Gazette's Fabulous 22 with football offers to Temple, Ohio, NC State and Akron.
