ROANOKE (WSLS 10) -  A Martinsville man killed in the Korean War is finally home. There's a service for Army Sargent First Class Raymond McMillian tonight. His remains were identified in 2007. After nearly ten years his remains were escorted back to Martinsville. He will be laid to rest Saturday.

Lincoln Terrace Elementary School fourth and fifth graders will get a lesson in bike safety this afternoon. Roanoke Sports Doctor Delmas Bolin will talk to the students about how fragile the brain really is - and the importance of protecting it in all areas of life from sports to activities like biking to drugs/alcohol. A Roanoke police officer will discuss basic bicycle safety/rules of the road, including the city's helmet ordinance, and local bike enthusiast Amy McGinnis will talk about biking for fun and health. The program concludes with fitting students for bike helmets, donated by the Virginia Trial Lawyers Foundation and local attorney Paul Thomson.

Sweet Briar College's Spring 2016 Explore Engineering Weekend kicks off today. The two day event is for high school girls in their sophomore, junior and senior years. During the weekend, participants will work in teams with Sweet Briar professors and current students on a hands-on creative project. They'll learn about the design process, from brainstorming to testing to revising prototypes.

Today is Good Friday. The story of Jesus' journey to the crucifixion will come alive in Southeast Roanoke during the annual Good Friday Cross Walk. A big wooden cross will be carried through the neighborhood, stopping at local landmarks to pray and remember the final days. It starts at 10:30 in the Arby's parking lot on Jamison Avenue and ends at the Rescue Mission with a meal.

Danville is removing the "Stratford College" state historical marker for restoration. It was erected 40 years ago on West Main Street to commemorate the college for maintaining the tradition of liberal arts education for women. It's expected to be reinstalled by Monday, April 4.
