Stratford College closed in 1974 and in 1976 the historical marker was put in place.

The restoration is part of the city's ongoing effort to refurbish the historical markers in the city.

Last week, the "Last Confederate Capitol" marker outside the Sutherlin Mansion was reinstalled after being restored.

The Stratford College marker is expected to be reinstalled on April 4.
