NELSON COUNTY (WSLS 10) - The football season may be over, but a Nelson County man won the $100,000 top prize in Virginia Lottery's Redskins Champions Club Promotion.
Verne DeBilzan said he initially bought the ticket, which turned out to not be a winner when he scratched it.

Instead of throwing it away, he entered the ticket into the March 16th Redskins Champion Club Promotion drawing. His ticket was drawn from more than 300,000 entries.
Other prizes in the drawing included three winners of premium club seat season tickets for the 2016 season at FedEx Field and nine winners of autographed Redskins superstar jerseys.
