BLACKSBURG (WSLS 10 SPORTS) - They are off and running in Blacksburg.  There is a quicker pace that is evident at the home of the Hokies.   Coach Justin Fuente and new offensive coordinator Brad Cornelson are installing  a new up-tempo offense.  Cornelson's offense at Memphis averaged more than 38 points and 457 yards per game over the past two seasons.

It's new and its different and so far the changeover appears to be going well.  The hokies offensive veterans are energized this spring.

" I definitely think it's going well, I mean obviously when you're learning new stuff it's not going to be exactly perfect the first time around.  But we're working on cleaning up some stuff during spring ball but I think it's going well, " says Hokies senior offensive lineman Augie Conte.

"Just as a player you got a focus on the little things right now, you gotta just make sure everybody's lining up right, things like that. But it's going well-- it's fun to learn this new offense I think it's going to be a real fun and exciting offense so I can't wait to put more and more in," says veteran fullback Sam Rogers.

The Hokies spring workouts conclude with the annual Maroon and White Spring game on April 23rd.
