ROANOKE (WSLS10) - More good news coming out of Roanoke this week as Moe's Southwest Grill held a grand opening on Wednesday.
Also, construction crews broke ground on a second building in the South16 apartment complex.

Moe's is a fast-casual restaurant franchise known for its made-to-order burritos. Moe's is located near Starbucks. Dr. Pepper Park and the 157-unit South16 apartment.

The day was also marked with another sign of growth in this area as developers with The Bridges broke ground on a the second building in the South16 apartment complex.
"It's another in a line of some really neat things happening in Roanoke," said city councilman David Trinkle. "Especially with the whole biotechnology medicine corridor that we are building along Jefferson Street."
The newest South16 building will have 126 units and a swimming pool. Construction is expected to be complete in the fall of 2017.
"We definitely think that it is going to be a big push for The Bridges and our housing development," said Aaron Ewert, The Bridges developer. "Not to mention our outdoor activities and the kayak launch and the rest of what we are accomplishing.
