ROANOKE (WSLS10) - The race for Roanoke's mayor is down to only one candidate.
The announcement comes after city leaders say potential third-party candidate Martin Jeffrey will not be on the ballot.

He had until 5 P.M. Tuesday to provide the city with information regarding his candidacy but did not meet the deadline.
WSLS10 reached out to Jeffrey for a comment, but did not hear back.
The star city's only candidate, Sherman Lea, won the democratic nomination to replace out-going mayor David Bowers.
The local republican party did not enter a candidate in the race.
