(WSLS 10) - The funeral for former First Lady Nancy Reagan takes place today. She died on Sunday at her Los Angeles area home at the age of 94. She will be buried next to hear husband, former President Ronald Reagan at his presidential library in Simi Valley.

With the weather becoming more pleasant, it's now outdoor movie season. Hull's Drive-in theatre in Lexington kicks off the season today with Star Wars: The Force Awakens followed by The Finest Hours, the true story of the heroic 1952 Coast Guard rescue.

The Saint Patrick's Day Parade and Shamrock Festival return to Roanoke on Saturday. Because of this, several roads in downtown Roanoke will be closed. Salem Avenue from Williamson to Jefferson, Market Street from Norfolk to Campbell, Wall Street between Salem and Campbell and Jefferson Street between Salem and Campbell will close from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Other streets will close for a shorter period of time Saturday morning for the parade.

The Danville Regional Medical Center holds another neighborhood walk this week. The walk takes place at Piedmont Access to Health Services. The community walks, along with a vigil, started last month after two people, including a doctor, were shot. The hospital says by coming together, the area can achieve great things like a crime free community.

The Virginia General Assembly is set to give final approval to the states two year budget today. Leaders have reached a compromise on the $100 billion proposal that includes no new taxes or fee increases. State workers will see a three percent increase in pay with teachers getting two percent. It does not include provisions for expanding Medicaid.

Harlem Globetrotters Ambassador Buckets Blakes is in town today to talk to area sixth graders. He will talk to students at James Breckenridge Middle School about the ABCs of Bullying before visiting with kids at Carilion Clinic Children's Hospital. The visit comes ahead of the Harlem Globetrotters show at the Berglund Center on Thursday.
