ALLEGHANY COUNTY (WSLS 10) - The Boys Home in Alleghany County has given boys and young men on a troubled path a second chance for more than a hundred years.

One couple has chosen not to live in their own home, but on campus helping raise dozens of boys.

Linda and Ronnie Angle decided to make a difference as house parents five years ago, but this isn't just any job - it's a way of life.

The husband and wife live on grounds fulltime, but in separate cottages, parenting different boys.

Ronnie has found the easiest way to explain it.

“I'm a house parent, I raise kids. I raise somebody else's kids on a daily basis,” Ronnie explained.

“We live on campus, we work on campus, we breathe, eat and live on campus,” Linda said.

A campaign called "The Journey Continues" is underway at The Boys Home to fill all the beds over the next two years.
