Radford University divided on Donald Trump's upcoming visit

RADFORD (WSLS 10) - Donald Trump's upcoming rally at Radford University caused students on both political sides to speak up.

Some students and graduates are obtaining as many of the free tickets as they can, with no plans to attend or give the tickets away. They said empty seats will send a message to Trump.

Others are planning a "read-in" where they sit in the rally but read a book the entire time.

There are students who believe this is unfair to the people that are actually interested in what Trump has to say.

Radford University student Colby Bender said, "I think it's a great opportunity to come and see an actual presidential candidate come to your university and make history, no matter whether you agree or disagree with him."

Radford University said the Trump campaign will decide whether the empty seats will be given to walk-ins at the last minute if ticket holders do not show up.
