WSLS 10 was in the court room as the arraignment happened over video conference. According to information presented in court, the incident happened between June and September 2012. Bocock has retained his own lawyer. The judge did not set another hearing or bail. He is currently being held in the Botetourt County Jail.

According to Roanoke City spokesperson Melinda Mayo, Bocock, whose current rank is Lieutenant, is a 25-year employee of Roanoke Fire-EMS.

"The city cannot respond to legal proceedings as the appropriate authorities must respond to that," said Mayo. "However, the city is taking the appropriate action, suspending the employee without pay, pending the outcome of the case."

Botetourt County Schools spokesperson Brian Austin says Bocock was added to the substitute teacher list in January 2016 and substituted for one day at Lord Botetourt High School in February. Austin says Bocock was taken off the substitute list last week after the school system was made aware of the accusations.

"We have a great working relationship with the sheriff's office," said Austin.
