Narrows Stock Market under criminal investigation

NARROWS (WSLS 10) - A long-standing business in the new river valley is under a criminal investigation by Virginia State Police.

The Narrows Stock Market in Giles County is being investigated for financial discrepancies involving internal accounting practices.

The business has operated there since the 1930's. VSP spokesperson Corinne Geller says the Virginia State Police bureau of criminal investigation's Wytheville field office began the case in 2015.

So far, no arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing.

Since the investigation, new management has been put in charge of the business.
