CHRISTIANSBURG (WSLS 10) - Montgomery County circuit court clerk Erica Williams responded to the Board of Supervisors' questions about turnover and work attendance.
However, the board still does not have any answers.

Last week, the board asked Williams to explain the 155 percent turnover rate in her office during her first eight-year term. It also asked her to respond to allegations that she does not always work 40 hours a week.
Tuesday, board members received a letter from Williams' lawyer that stated she is not prepared to provide that information. She believes personnel matters are private, and that the board was not specific enough about its request for her work attendance records.
Although the board asked for a response by Wednesday, it does not have the power to require one.
The board is expected to discuss Williams' letter at its meeting Monday.
