HENRY COUNTY (WSLS10) - Valentine's Day came early for some Southside veterans.
JROTC cadets at Bassett High School delivered Valentine's Day cards on Thursday to veterans at the Kings Grant retirement home in Henry County.

The Henry County Parks and Rec. Department collected the hand made cards from citizens over the past few weeks as part of the department's "Cards for Vets" program.
Over 2,000 cards were collected.
"I think it's wonderful," said Army Air Corps. veteran Edward Cozzette. "I'm very much impressed with the ROTC. I'm always impressed when I see these youngsters in their uniform."
After handing out the cards, the vets talked to the cadets about their experiences from their time in the service.
