11 students from Fort Washington are working in the West End and Melrose-Orange Avenue neighborhoods.
We watched them help add an addition to a home and build a wheelchair ramp.
"I think this is a really rewarding experience, and I would have school today if I was home, and it's nice to be able to do something different, and it's cool to be able to build houses who necessary can't have them right away," volunteer Samantha Felgoise said.
The students are staying with the Grandin Court Baptist Church.
