This is not to be confused with National Pizza with Everything Except Anchovies Day, which will be observed Saturday, November 12, 2016 or National Cheese Pizza Day, on September 5.
More than 3 billion pizzas are sold in the US every year and that doesn't even include the one billion frozen pizza sold annually, according to the National Day Calendar website.
Americans eat about 23lbs of pizza per person a year.
And if pizza isn't your thing, February 9 is also National Bagel Day.
