Lynchburg police investigating deadly motorcycle accident

LYNCHBURG (WSLS 10) -- The Lynchburg Police Department is investigating a deadly motorcycle accident that killed a 19-year-old.

It happened on Friday, February 5 in the 2600 block of Lakeside Drive near Jefferson Ridge Parkway.

According to investigators, around 8:15 p.m. a 2012 Honda CBR 600 RR motorcycle was traveling in the parking lot of the Billy Craft Chrysler dealership on Lakeside Drive when the driver, Carter Scott Craft, of Forest, lost control and entered Lakeside Drive.

Craft was taken to Lynchburg General Hospital and later moved to Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He died from his injuries Sunday evening.
