Daytime Kitchen: Caramelized Bananas

Caramelized bananas

Ā· 1 banana, peeled and sliced

Ā· 2 tbsp butter

Ā· 2 tbsp brown sugar

Ā· 2 oz whiskey or rum

1. Heat butter in a pan until gently bubbling.

2. Add in sliced bananas and sautƩ for 2 minutes.

3. Add in brown sugar and stir.

4. Remove from heat and add the whiskey, making sure to burn off the alcohol.

5. Stir and spoon over chocolate filled crepes.

Spiced crepe batter

Ā· 1 c. AP flour

Ā· 2 eggs, beaten

Ā· 1 c. milk

Ā· 2 tbsp butter, melted

Ā· 1 tbsp cinnamon, ground

Ā· Ā½ tsp nutmeg, ground

1. Combine flour, milk, eggs, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

2. Slowly add in the melted butter.

3. Heat a non stick pan over medium heat.

4. Working with a tablespoon of batter per crepe, pour into pan and cook for 30 seconds.

5. Flip over and cook for another 30 seconds.

6. Place on a plate and cover with a tea towel.
