Police officers from six different agencies, the FBI's Child Abduction Rapid Deployment Team and 1,000 Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets members combed the area around the home of 13-year-old Nicole Lovell Thursday afternoon.

Lovell was last seen there around midnight Tuesday.

Police say she is on liver medication that she must take twice a day. Going without it could cause permanent damage.

Lt. Mike Albert of the Blacksburg Police Department said in a news conference Thursday, "It's one of the darkest and worst things that you can deal with. Nicole also requires medication daily for a medical condition. We know that we're going on 36 plus hours without her having the medication."

The Blacksburg Police Department has set up these phone numbers for anyone with information to call: 540-552-2222 or anonymously at 540-961-1819.
