Police say she was last seen Wednesday at her family's apartment in the Lantern Ridge area of Blacksburg around midnight.

She was wearing black jeans, possibly a gray striped Mossy Oak shirt, and brown and pink "Fat Baby" cowboy boots, according to police.

Nicole Lovell, 13, was found dead Jan. 30, 2016, three days after she went missing.

Police say Lovell is in danger because she does not have the daily medication she needs after having a liver transplant.

Blacksburg police said they are working Virginia State Police to help in the search for the teenager.

"We're not sure if it's a runaway situation of if there is foul play involved at this time of the investigation, we haven't been able to determine either, but we're looking at it from every angle," Lieutenant Mike Albert with Blacksburg Police said.

Workers with Help Save the Next Girl is working Nichole's mother Tammy Weeks to find the teenager.

"When we talk to the mother the first thing I tell her to do is to remain calm, and let's get the information out there," Kenny Jarrells with HSTNG said.

Jarrells said they usually compile the information into a flier that can be sent all over social media.

"We've accumulated a lot of resources and those people help us, on our Facebook page we have about 50 thousand people, in about 2 hours we can reach about 50 thousand people," Jarrells said.

Lovell has a tracheotomy scar on her throat and may be carrying a blue and yellow "Minions" blanket. Her family says she also left with a few bottles of water, and they believe she got out through her window with someone's help.

"She's God's gift," Tammy Weeks, Nichole's mother said.

Anyone with information on Lovell's location is asked to contact the Blacksburg Police Department at 540-961-1150 or anonymously at 540-961-1819. You can email tips to CIU@blacksburg.gov.
