CHRISTIANSBURG (WSLS 10) - Clean up continued Monday in the New River Valley after roughly a foot of snow last week.

Emergency managers say most roads are clear, but secondary roads are still causing some concern, which is why Montgomery County Public Schools will be closed on Tuesday, January 26.

Emergency mangers are encouraging drivers to be on the lookout for ice, especially Monday night and first thing Tuesday morning.

Montgomery County Emergency Services coordinator Neal Turner said, "Early mornings when you have black ice and you have the temperatures that go below freezing, always anticipate black ice. If it is not, then you did well, but if it is black ice, then you know to deal with it accordingly."

Road conditions are expected to be mostly back to normal by Tuesday afternoon.
