W.Va. man arrested after police pursuit in Henry County

HENRY COUNTY (WSLS 10) - A West Virginia man is being held without bond after reportedly leading deputies on a high speed chase through Henry County.

The sheriff's office said at 6:39 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19 they responded to the Hardee's parking lot on Virginia Avenue in reference to a person passed out in a vehicle.

When deputies attempted to make contact with the person - the driver sped out of the parking lot - heading south on Daniels Creed Road.

Due to excessive speeds and reckless driving, the Henry County Sheriff's Office deployed spike strips on Stones Dairy Road to stop the 2015 Mustang.

The vehicle was eventually stopped and the driver, Michael Allen Graham, of Princeton, W.Va., was taken into custody.

Graham is charged with failure to stop for blue lights & siren and possession of ammunition by a convicted felon, both Class 6 Felonies. He's also charged with two Class 1 Misdemeanors - driving on a suspended operator's license and giving a false name to law enforcement. He's also charged with 2 Felony counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
