DANVILLE (WSLS 10) - As we ring in the New Year Danville based God's Pit Crew is still facing one of the busiest disaster seasons in the non-profit's history.

Volunteers have already sent 80,000 lbs of relief to flood victims in Texas and are waiting to potentially send another truck.

Meanwhile, God's Pit Crew Founder Randy Johnson said he's also keeping an eye on the rising Mississippi River.

"I've been doing this for going on 17 years and the thing that continues to surprise me is we never know when we never know where the next one is going to hit. It seems that they're happening with much more frequency now, so there's a great need, we can see it in our heart anyways, just a great need to be ready to be able to respond," Johnson said.

As volunteers organize the relief product left in the Danville warehouse Johnson said more is needed.
