Farmers’ Market in Danville will cut short winter hibernation

Danville News

DANVILLE (WSLS 10) – The Danville Farmers’ Market will no longer be just for the spring and summer.

Beginning Saturday, Jan. 9, the market reopens for the winter!

Located in the Community Market building at 629 Craghead St., the farmers’ market will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

If the response is slow, officials said they will reduce the market schedule from weekly to once or twice a month.

The winter farmers’ market will offer baked goods, crafts, eggs, meats, coffee, jellies, jams, salsa, wine, nuts, personal care products and other items normally found at the market, along with seasonal produce that is still available, such as greens.
