Elmwood Park concert series returns to Downtown Roanoke

ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - Downtown Roanoke incorporated is excited to announce its plan to bring back the outdoor concert series at Elmwood Park.

Last year marked the first time the group hosted a series of three concerts. Each performance attracted bigger crowds.

The group is calling it a success and is now looking to expand the series by bringing in more artists.

DRI has partnered with the Berglund Center with bookings to help find talent and bring them to our area.

"We're really just kind of in the beginning phases of that and looking at the possibilities of who we want to bring in, what's feasible dates, costs and all of that," said Jamie Clark, a spokesperson for Downtown Roanoke Incorporated. "But, we're probably looking at doing four shows.

Right now, DRI is just starting to plan the concerts and have no definite artists or performance dates. Concerts range from country music to rock and pop. On average tickets cost $25.
