Big Day of Hoops at Chance Harman Classic

FLOYD(WSLS 10 SPORTS)- It was a busy day of hoops in Floyd, as the Chance Harman Classic moves into year nine. The Chance Harman Classic is a two-day basketball invitational where teams from several different states compete, have fun, and remember the 4-year old boy, Chance Harman, who died of a rare form of brain cancer in 2007.

In Floyd on Friday, Auburn outscored Parry McCluer 71-59 to open the two day event. Glenvar followed with a 60-47 win over Grayson County. The Highlanders Logan Williams had 23 points for the winners. Cape Henry followed with a three pointer at the buzzer to nip power Huntington Prep out of West Virginia 71-70. Bishop McGuiness out of North Carolina handed Faith Christian its first loss of theseason by a 45-34 count. Then a nearby NRV rivalry renewed as Radford handled Blacksburg 61-31. Eight more games are slated for Saturday in Floyd.
